The schedule for the upcoming season is here! On Friday, the German Football League (DFL) announced the schedule for the new season. The 2. Bundesliga’s 50th season begins for Hertha with a trip to Düsseldorf. The first game against Fortuna will take place on the 29th-30th July. For the first home game, the Old Lady will host SV Wehen Wiesbaden a week later in the Olympiastadion. “With the game against Düsseldorf, we are starting against a team that showed last season that they belong to the top teams in the 2. Liga. We are also looking forward to the first home game against Wiesbaden in front of our incredible fans and hopefully a full crowd,” said sporting director Benjamin Weber on the schedule.

First-round matches in Hamburg and Gelsenkirchen

Hertha will face Hamburger SV on Matchday 3 and Matchday 21, with the away fixture coming up in the first half of the season. The meetings with FC Schalke 04 will take place on Matchday 9 and Matchday 26, with the away match again coming first. Hertha will play against Karlsruher SC on Matchdays 13 and 30, with the first encounter at home. The final match of the season is a trip to VfL Osnabrück, which takes place on 19th May at 15:30 CEST. The scheduling of Matchdays one and two is planned for the coming week (3rd-7th July), and for Matchdays 3-10 during the 28th calendar week.
