90 minutes to represent the flag on the chest and to end the season with some pride. Pál Dárdai set a clear target for his players ahead of the final game of the campaign against VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday (27th May, 15:30 CEST): “We want to represent Hertha BSC one final time and leave a good impression, that is very important,” explained the head coach ahead of the training week. Preparation for the final match of the season got underway on Tuesday as the players and staff arrived at the training ground a 10am. Following a short speech, the players took part in some game-like situations, including a 10v10 and a 5v5. Tolga Ciğerci was able to fully participate once again following his calf problems.

Six train individually, two miss out

Marc Kempf (rib), Márton Dárdai, Wilfried Kanga, Agustín Rogel (all muscular problems), Robert Kwasigroch and Prince Boateng (both knee problems) trained individually. Kélian Nsona (rehab training) and Filip Uremović (concussion) were forced to miss out. As in previous weeks, youngsters Ibrahim Maza and Veit Stange took part in the session and showed promising signs with their hard work. Tony Rölke also played alongside the first team for the first time this season. As well as taking part in the training sessions this week, there may also be a chance for one or two youngsters to get some first team action against Wolfsburg on Saturday and they could play their part in ending the season on a positive note.
