Ten SC players on international duty

Five SC players are set to feature in the Nations League, including Philipp Lienhart, Michael Gregoritsch and Junior Adamu, who have two home games coming up with the Austria national team against Kazakhstan and Norway. The Austrians sit third in their group on one point. Florent Muslija will also take part in the Nations League with Kosovo, facing Cyprus and Lithuania.

Japan have nominated Ritsu Doan again for their national squad ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifying fixtures against Saudi Arabia and Australia. Japan are currently top of Group C on six points, having scored 12 goals and conceded none. Max Rosenfelder, Noah Atubolu and Kiliann Sildillia are preparing for their World Cup qualifiers with the Germany and France U21 national teams. Rosenfelder and Atubolu will play against Bulgaria and Poland for Germany, who top Group D at the moment, while Sildillia takes on Cyprus and Austria with France. The Switzerland U20 team has once again called up Bruno Ogbus and Johan Manzambi for their upcoming internationals against Ghana and Romania.

The SC players remaining in Freiburg utilised the opportunity that the international break offered to play a friendly match against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. SC emerged 2-1 winners, with Maximilian Philipp notching both goals.
