Referee: Felix Brych in charge

Dr. Felix Brych, a 47-year-old from Munich, will officiate the match. Mark Borsch and Stefan Lupp will assist him on the sidelines, while Günter Perl will act as fourth official. Brych’s home club is SV Am Hart Munich. The lawyer, who lists sport and music as hobbies, has been a DFB referee since 1999. On 28 August 2004, he refereed his first of 331 Bundesliga matches to date, 41 of which have involved BVB (24 wins, twelve draws, five defeats). In the DFB-Pokal, he has officiated eight BVB matches, resulting in five wins and three defeats (2006 against Hannover, the 2015 final against Wolfsburg, 2019 against Bremen). Brych also presided over the 2021 cup final, which Borussia Dortmund won 4-1 over Leipzig.

Borussia Dortmund have won 15 of their 18 quarter-final games in the cup. Since a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich ten years ago, the Black & Yellows have won each of their last five quarter-final encounters.
