BVB coach Edin Terzic had his players on the training ground in San Diego on Wednesday morning in strong winds and temperatures just below 30 degrees. New signing Marcel Sabitzer was among the players taking part.

After his arrival the day before, Marcel Sabitzer joined his new teammates on the training ground for the first time on Wednesday morning. However, the new signing did not take part in the full team training, splitting off with Jamie Bynoe-Gittens after the warm-up to do exercises off the pitch under the guidance of Otto Addo and Marcelo Martins, as well as runs together with Shad Forsythe.

Julian Ryerson also sat out the training session and took his place on a bike next to the pitch. He was later joined by Marius Wolf. Injured Gio Reyna completed an individual programme once again.

The large group played a ten-on-ten with two free players, with Edin Terzic bellowing out loud instructions. Afterwards, the players were divided into two groups, with one playing attack versus defence in one goal, while the other worked on attacking moves. (cr)
