Edin Terzic was satisfied. With qualification for the next round. And with the performance from his team, “which would have also deserved a different scoreline”. The coach’s statements at the press conference can be found below.

Edin Terzic on the match and the result:
“It was a deserved victory, and we would’ve also deserved a different scoreline with this performance. As it was, it remained a close game until the end. We took a significant step forward, not only by qualifying for the second round but also in terms of how we linked up in attack and in terms of how we positioned ourselves – and also in terms of how we kept the opponent far away from our goal. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get into the counter-attacking spaces in the second half. We have to improve on that.”

…on the fifth 1-0 victory this season:
“We like all wins. We of course want to take the next step, not protecting a sole goal but making the game clearer-cut. Nonetheless, we like that we defended cleanly until the end, even keeping possession in the final minutes. We were active time and time again.”

…on the changes to the starting line-up:
“We’ve emphasised that we’re very happy with the fact that we have few injured players and a performance level in the squad that we can rely on. We have four games in the space of nine days. It would be negligent not to rely on fresh legs. We made five changes compared to Frankfurt and put in a really good team performance.”
