Borussia Dortmund youth player Paris Brunner has been named by UEFA as the best player at the U17 European Championships this year. Brunner and three other Black & Yellows won the tournament in Hungary with the German team.

The attacking player contributed four goals and finished as the top goalscorer at the tournament as the Germany U17 national team won the European Championships for the first time in 14 years. Brunner also held his nerve in the final against France and coolly converted a penalty during the shootout.

The 17-year-old mostly played for the BVB U19s in the season just ended. He helped his team reach the final of the German Championship and the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League.
