The Easter period is over, but the next highlight was already awaiting the Borussia Dortmund supporters on Tuesday. In perfect sunshine, 1,560 fans watched the public training session of the BVB first team at the Youth Stadium in Brackel.
After the 2-1 home victory over Union Berlin on Saturday, the players, coaches and fans were in high spirits. On top of that, the impressive backdrop at the start of the second week of the Easter holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia made for a perfect spring afternoon.
On the training ground, coach Edin Terzic first put his boys through some warm-up and athletic exercises, before they then played on a narrow pitch with eight small goals and simulated numerous finishing scenarios. Despite the intensive session on the pitch, the BVB players still had plenty of time for autographs and photos. Marco Reus, Emre Can & Co. spent almost an hour signing jerseys and taking selfies.
Julian Brandt’s autograph proved to be particularly popular this Tuesday. Shortly before the training session, the midfielder had extended his contract with BVB until the summer of 2026. After the training session, he fielded questions from journalists about the extension and his objectives with the Black & Yellows.
