Two completely different halves

Sebastian Kehl (in the mixed zone): “It was a deserved draw. Bochum were very effective in the first period and deserved the lead. We did better in the second period and deserved to equalise too. We saw that when we switched the sides quickly, the opportunities were there. But we did that too little. We have to accept the blame for that. If you sleep through a half, you don’t deserve more than a point in the end.”

Emre Can (to Sky): “It was not a good game from us again. And it’s also not the standard we set. We want to play better, we want to win here, we want to dominate here. But we play too many long balls and have few solutions with the ball.”

Julian Brandt (to BVB TV): “We could have won the game because we had the potential chances to do so. But the game was too sluggish for us to have clearly deserved it. It was not a great game. That said, everything was open. I tried to overload the position so that the central defenders did not know exactly what they should do.”
