The absence of Jude Bellingham (knee problems) has forced Terzic to change the team that has recently beaten Wolfsburg and Gladbach by 6-0 and 5-2 scorelines respectively: Raphael Guerreiro will assume the Englishman’s position in midfield. Julien Duranville, who only turned 17 days ago, makes the squad for the first time.

The away game against FC Augsburg will be overseen by Tobias Welz. He will be supported on the sidelines by Dr. Martin Thomsen from Kleve and Jonas Weickenmeier from Frankfurt. Florian Badstübner from Nuremberg is the fourth official, with Tobias Stieler from Hamburg the video assistant.

The 45-year-old police officer from Wiesbaden will be overseeing a Bundesliga match involving Borussia Dortmund for the 15th time. There have previously been nine wins, four draws and one defeat – 2-1 in Düsseldorf in December 2018. This season, he has refereed the away games in Leverkusen (2-0) and Freiburg (3-1). He has previously overseen two BVB matches against Augsburg, both in Dortmund (2-2 in January 2014 and 2-1 in October 2021).

Fans: Full away sector

All 3,000 tickets for BVB supporters in the away sector have been sold. Several thousand more Borussia fans are expected in the stadium and are being asked by the South Stand Alliance to come dressed “all in yellow”.
