In an interview with “Sky”, Edin Terzic spoke about the game against Union Berlin and Youssoufa Moukoko’s goal.

Edin Terzic on the balance of play:
“It was a narrow but deserved victory in an extremely important game for us. We produced a really good performance in the first half, both offensively and defensively. We linked up well with each other and were also very active without the ball. Unfortunately, we were no longer able to maintain that in the second half. It’s always tough and always tight against Union Berlin. Hence why we’re relieved that we’re heading home with a victory.”

…on the period after the equaliser when the game threatened to go awry:
“It already started to become slightly more open at the start of the second half. We had spoken in the break about not reducing our activity, but increasing it instead. However, it’s often not easy against this opponent. When you see what we had to invest, not just to get over the halfway line but to have a chance to score; and what the opponent had to invest to score the goal… They’re extremely dangerous on counters and yet we were able to defend passionately to the end.”

…on Youssoufa Moukoko’s goal to make it 2-1:
“He’s a goalscorer and he has a sense for where the ball will arrive. He anticipated well, then kept his cool and rounded the goalkeeper.”

…on his heartfelt celebration with Moukoko:
“I’m his football coach and I want to have a close exchange with all my players – and especially with such young players, who have received a lot of praise in the past few years. We want to offer assistance. Because in recent years they have only heard how good they are. Then they arrive in senior football and notice that it’s not so easy. We want to support the boys with the process of growing up. For us, it’s extremely good that such a young lad has decided a game for us once again.”
