Former FIFA referee Deniz Aytekin, 45, from Oberasbach (Bayern) will be refereeing his 31st Bundesliga game involving BVB. The record is positive, with 17 wins, six draws and seven defeats. Only one of the last 13 matches under his leadership has ended in defeat. The experienced match official (218 Bundesliga appearances) will be supported on the sidelines by Dr. Martin Thomsen and Eduard Beitinger. Florian Heft is the fourth official. Johann Pfeifer is the video assistant.
