Bavarian Fashion Works: Color scheme for Bayern Munich’s new away kit announced

Late last year, Footy Headlines said that Bayern’s away kit for the 23/24 season will be mainly black, like the popular black and gold 21/22 away kit. Hertha Berlin

“I can’t imagine anything better!”

Marius Gersbeck’s delight at being back at Hertha BSC was clear to see as he stepped into the club’s offices to complete the final paperwork around his move. The Berlin native was busy shaking hands, greeting staff members and hugging old friends, accompanied by our club media team. “I think it’s great that there are still so many familiar faces at the club. There are people working for the club that I’ve known for years. That’s why it’s even nicer to be able to return here and to be able to play for all these people,” Gersbeck said with a smile. He added, “I just feel at home here. I can’t imagine anything better!” In an interview, the 27-year-old spoke about returning home and the experience he’s been able to amass during his career so far.

Roots in the 1930s

There will be no VfL Wolfsburg involvement when Germany kick-off their milestone 1,000th game on Monday evening (18:00 CEST) – unlike previous squads that have had a Green-and-White presence – but it is still worth taking a trip down memory lane ahead of the milestone occasion.

Borussia Dortmund

Evonik meets … Ondřej Vašek

When, how and why did you become a Borussia Dortmund fan?
“My grandfather and my uncle are casual Bayern Munich fans. Thankfully, I never liked the color red as a kid, so it was never an option for me to follow suit. That said, I regularly watched football, especially Bundesliga games, with them at the weekend and that’s how I became aware of Borussia Dortmund. I absolutely loved those incredible fans and Marco Reus soon became my favorite player. The first time I watched a Dortmund game, I fell in love instantly.”
