Around 35 BVB fans from the association of Thuringian fan clubs and a delegation from Borussia Dortmund consisting of employees from the departments of fan affairs, corporate responsibility and the BORUSSEUM were also present. “It was a good performance overall,” reflected head coach Karsten Gorges, who – on top of Alex Niziolek and Elias Benkara – welcomed back an additional returnee in Raul König. And fight is just what they brought to their tilt against league leaders Bayern Munich, pressing the visitors into hairy situations building out from the back from the opening whistle — a common theme Bayern have faced all year.
