Just as they did on Saturday, when they played away to VfL Waiblingen, Henk Groener’s BVB team are hitting the road in the direction of southern Germany. The coach was not happy with how his charges started their last game: “We were not where we wanted to be. Then we changed to a 5-1 defensive set-up and showed more aggression. In the end, it turned out to be a commanding victory.”
Find way to win and advance, then life becomes a little bit easier for the coming weeks. If PSG cannot find a way to get by Bayern Munich, though, Galtier’s seat will become incredibly hot.
Lucas Ribeiro dos Santos moved to the Kraichgau from Brazilian top-flight outfit EC Vitoria in the second half of the 2018/19 season, featured 20 times in the TSG first-team squad in the following season and made two appearances in the Bundesliga (one goal) and one in the DFB-Pokal.

Union’s home unbeaten run in the Bundesliga came to an end on Saturday as Urs Fischer’s side lost 2-5 to Bayern Munich. The Köpenick club had previously gone 21 games in Germany’s top flight without a loss at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. However, Julian Nagelsmann’s side proved to be too strong on the day. Union trailed by three goals — a double for Robert Lewandowski and one for Leroy Sane — before Niko Gießelmann fired one back before the break. Union’s second-half showing delighted the 16,509 fans inside the Alte Försterei, but Bayern and Manuel Neuer were able to hold on their lead. Kingsley Coman struck a fourth before Julian Ryerson came off the bench to score his first Bundesliga goal for the club. Thomas Müller restored Bayern’s three-goal advantage in the last five minutes. In the UEFA Europa Conference League, Union are at the foot of the group after three matches. But two of Union’s last three matches will take place on home turf, starting with Feyenoord on Thursday. Fischer’s side picked up their only points thus far with a 3-0 win over Maccabi Haifa in Charlottenberg.
The scenario: The U23s made the short journey full of confidence. The team were unbeaten in five outings and had not conceded a goal in 275 minutes. Another three points would see them break the 40-point barrier – and reduce the gap to SC Verl to five points. The home team went into the game in 10th position, three places above the Black & Yellows.
