A childhood dream

Marvin Ducksch has picked up a lot of new experiences in the past few weeks. With his first international cap, the 29-year-old fulfilled a childhood dream whose magic lasted throughout his time with the German national side. “It was very special for me from day one,” explains Ducksch. “Running out onto that pitch with the eagle on my chest is something that I’ll probably take with me for the rest of my life.”

SC Freiburg

Back in league action against Darmstadt

Darmstadt 98 also play good football. The Lilies, who dominated the 2. Bundesliga last season, have had to adapt quickly to the reality of life in the top-flight – the newly-promoted side had to wait until matchday 6 for their first win, with another win and a draw following directly afterwards against Ausgburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach respectively. Torsten Lieberknecht’s team have picked up one point since then, picking up a draw against Mainz 05 last time out. They also registered their first clean sheet of the season against Mainz, whilst this also represented a small sense of achievement for Darmstadt given that they have conceded the most goals in the league so far this season (32).

TSG Hoffenheim expanding communications activities

“The idea of bringing together the media departments of the company responsible for match operations, the academy and the women’s department under one roof is one that we’ve had for some time. With a few years of work, we have finally succeeded in creating a real TSG media house, which is now also home to our eSport activities. We will thus create synergies and optimise public relations work, as well as internal communications,” said TSG communications director Christian Frommert. In order to guarantee short paths and quick coordination, the rooms in the “Schloss Seehälde”, the building completed in 1780 and renovated in 2008, were moved into the premises of the training centre in Zuzenhausen.
