Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia_GER) has allegedly captured more details on the situation surrounding Bayern Munich and club legend Thomas Müller. Following the reports that broke earlier this week stating that Müller might want to leave the club, the club executives have already scrambled and met with the player:
It was a huge moment for Maximilian Beier: the TSG Hoffenheim striker came on as a substitute in the 65th minute of Germany’s 1-1 draw with Switzerland on Sunday. This was the TSG player’s second appearance for his country and his introduction made him the first Hoffenheim player to represent Germany at a European Championship or World Cup.
The VfB quartet in the Germany camp faced club-mate and Switzerland international Leonidas Stergiou as the teams drew 1-1 at EURO 2024.
Robin Knoche is leaving 1. FC Union Berlin at the end of this season after four years and 157 appearances. The Braunschweig-born central defender moved to Berlin-Köpenick in the summer of 2020 and quickly established himself at the heart of Union’s defence. But it was not only at the back that he enriched Union’s play, Knoche also proved his nerve as a reliable penalty taker, especially in the UEFA Europa League, where he ensured the team’s progression to the first knock out round with his nerveless spot-kicks. In total, the 31-year-old has scored eleven goals and provided five assists for Union.
Following four points from their first two games, Switzerland had momentum going into their final match of Group A on Sunday evening in Frankfurt. After Vargas had been named in the starting eleven for the 3-1 win over Hungary and the 1-1 draw with Scotland, the FCA attacker this time had to settle for a place on the bench – though the 25-year-old almost won the game for Switzerland late on.
Sport1 journalist Kerry Hau is refuting Goal’s report that Bayern Munich wants RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo:
Swiss international moving from Stade Rennes to VfB for the next 12 months.
The season’s denouement will prove crucial for Union as all three end of the season possibilities are on the table, whether that be staying up, finishing 16th, and with it entering into the two-legged relegation play-off, or even direct relegation.
Scally: “We want to get more Americans interested in football” Joe Scally is set to play...
But Kahn thinks things are more complex than this. In an interview with Sport Bild, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, Kahn talked about his first impressions of Tuchel: “Thomas Tuchel impressed me from the first day. I feel that he’s reaching the team emotionally with his way of working and speeches.” He even added that these speeches helped him feel “like going out on the pitch myself.” Thankfully for Bayern’s opponents, Der Titan restrained himself.
