“We’ve managed to put ourselves in a very good position. Nonetheless, we’re still a long way from achieving our objectives. We want to keep working hard and stay humble. We’re satisfied with our eighth win in a row but we also know that won’t help us next week in Hoffenheim,” said Edin Terzic after the 4-1 victory against Hertha BSC. He went on to say: “The next tough task awaits us in Hoffenheim. We will prepare ourselves for it diligently starting on Tuesday.”
He will be unavailable to play for the team for approximately three weeks.
Two memorial sites in Poland will be the destinations for the two excursions this year. This first trip from 11 to 17 June centres on the history of the Jews deported from Dortmund to the Polish city of Zamość in the former district of Lublin, at the end of April 1942. The second educational trip from 23 to 29 June will be to the Auschwitz memorial and will focus on the history of the town of Oświęcim and the Auschwitz camp complex.
Club members can purchase two tickets per person via the BVB Ticket Shop.
Following eight victories in the first eight competitive games of the new year, the Black & Yellows and their fans are riding high. You could sense that throughout the training session in Dortmund-Brackel on Tuesday afternoon. Having completed some warm-up exercises and a passing drill, the 11 starters from the weekend turned their focus to the fans and their autograph requests, while the rest of the squad took part in a match scenario with two goals. The good news: Mateu Morey worked with the ball and completed the passing drills along with his team-mates.
The team – which Tullberg had described as having “special character” at his pre-match press conference – once again showcased their heart and passion at the Österbro Stadium in Copenhagen. They had been written off by the halfway point of the group stages – following a 2-0 loss to Copenhagen, a 3-2 defeat at Manchester City and a 1-1 draw away to Sevilla – but they fought back and, along with Eintracht Frankfurt, became one of only two German clubs to progress through the group in this elite competition. “I’m very happy, the boys earned this,” said a beaming Mike Tullberg after the final whistle.

Mascot EMMA will be joined by a BVB legend, who will take part in our popular Chat With A Legend format to reflect on his time at Borussia Dortmund and the important upcoming home game against Bochum (Sa., 05/11, 15:30 CET).
Wednesday 2 November (21:00 CET): FC Copenhagen vs. BVB
The final UEFA Champions League group match is coming up. But the matchday will not have any implications on the final positions in Group G, with everything already set in stone. Since the home game against Manchester City last week (0-0), it has been confirmed that BVB will go into the last 16 as group runners-up. The Black & Yellows won the reverse fixture against Copenhagen 3-0.
