RB Leipzig

“It doesn’t feel good”

Head coach Marco Rose and players Benjamin Henrichs and Emil Forsberg react to the defeat against Manchester City

1. FSV Mainz 05

Your city on your chest

The Mainz 05 third jersey for the 2022/23 Bundesliga season represents our city in a very special way. The design of the dark blue jersey incorporates the city of Mainz, with all of the city districts woven into the pattern on the front of the shirt. The discreet design pays tribute every single district, from Finthen to Weisenau.

VfB Stuttgart

VfL Wolfsburg

„Evolution not revolution“

Since 1 February, Sebastian Schindzielorz has been back at VfL Wolfsburg in a new capacity. The 44-year-old, who played for the Wolves between 2008 and 2013 and was part of the squad that won the Bundesliga title in 2009, takes over the post of VfL sporting director from Marcel Schäfer, who is now managing director for sport following Jörg Schmadtke’s retirement. In this interview, Schindzielorz speaks about his first few days in the job and the match against Bayern Munich on Sunday.

Borussia Dortmund

“We can’t rest on our laurels!”

The final score of 1-0 did not reflect the way the game went, as TSG Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund continuously exchanged blows – especially for much of the second half. “It was counter-attack after counter-attack,” said Nico Schlotterbeck, who worked with centre-back partner Niklas Süle to guard the BVB goal as well as possible. The fact that the final score was 1-0 was less down to wastefulness on the part of the strikers than outstanding performances from the two goalkeepers, Oliver Baumann and Gregor Kobel.

SV Werder Bremen

An emotional, relieving goal

As Niklas Schmidt’s number came up on the fourth official’s board, a large portion of the 42,100 in attendance at the sold out wohninvest WESERSTADION took to their feet to applaud his performance in Werder’s 3-0 win over VfL Bochum, which saw him get on the scoresheet. It wasn’t just the crowd who were pleased with Schmidt, as teammate Marvin Ducksch made an effort to come over to the midfielder as he was heading off the field to congratulate him. He described his first Bundesliga goal at the wohninvest WESERSTADION as ‘unbelievably emotional and relieving’.

FC Augsburg

Day 3: New signing joins the action

In his first interview with FCA TV, the 19-year-old Belgian spoke about his first impressions of the club and the reasons he chose to become a Fuggerstädter: “The Bundesliga fits my style of play well,” said Engels, an academy graduate from Club Brugge who feels best on the right flank and in the centre of midfield. The Belgian has represented his country at U19 level nine times so far.
