SV Werder Bremen

Tough defeat in Heidenheim

SV Werder Bremen suffered a painful defeat away to 1. FC Heidenheim on Sunday afternoon. The hosts took an early lead through Kleindienst’s penalty (5’), and although Werder had plenty of chances to hit back, they lacked the clinical edge. Dinkci slotted away his first on the stroke of half time to double FCH’s advantage (44’), before Ducksch (49’) and Weiser (64’) were able to level the game after the restart. Despite SVW’s best efforts, the hosts’ relentless attacks eventually earned them a 4-2 win thanks to goals from Dinkci (68’) and Beste (76’).
