SV Werder Bremen

Looking to kick on against the new boys

SV Werder will travel to 1.FC Heidenheim on Sunday, 17th September at 15:30 CEST for matchday 4 of the Bundesliga season. The Green-Whites go into the game against the newly-promoted side as slight favourites – an unfamiliar prospect given that this is only Werder’s second season back in the top flight. Heidenheim’s last few games, as well as previous matches between the two sides, have shown how difficult it is to play against them at home.

Dorsch: “The atmosphere was breathtaking”

Niklas Dorsch: The coach drummed it into us that we can deal with going behind and come back again quickly. That’s the most important base mindset. We showed that in Heidenheim and again today – that will definitely have been exciting for the fans. But we relax now, as next week we face another difficult game in Cologne. We need to take this positive feeling with us. The atmosphere in the stadium today was breathtaking and that gave us goosebumps. There’s a group developing here who can rely on each other and I’m pleased that the team still turned the game around after the penalty.

Borussia Dortmund

Terzic: “Go full throttle once again!”

Edin Terzic (to DAZN): “This year, we’re closer than we have been for a long time. Now we need to go full-throttle and then we can finally – hopefully! – hold the Championship Shield in our hands. We now need the emotions in the city, in the stadium, and we’ll take care of the football. And in such a way that we are present from the start again, play a good game and see it through to the end. Now it’s about taking this one step together. We’ve picked up 70 points so far. That couldn’t have been foreseen before the season, after the overhaul and in particular after the illnesses and the injuries.”
