#VFBBMG: Match Facts

All of the key facts and figures ahead of the Foals’ final game of the Bundesliga season at VfB Stuttgart (Saturday, 15:30 CEST).

HEAD-TO-HEAD

  • Saturday will mark the 104th Bundesliga meeting between Stuttgart and Gladbach. Of the previous 103, the Foals have triumphed on 31 occasions, while Stuttgart have 42 wins. There have been 30 Bundesliga draws between the sides.
  • Borussia won the reverse fixture in January 3-1, courtesy of a Robin Hack double and a strike from Jordan.
  • The last time Gladbach won away at Stuttgart in the Bundesliga was over eight years ago, when they ran out 3-1 winners in September 2015. Stuttgart have picked up 13 of a possible 15 points in their last five home ties against the Foals.
  • There have been eight 0-0 draws between the two teams, with the last coming in November 2009 at BORUSSIA-PARK.

STATISTICS

  • The Foals have drawn their last three games, and another draw on Saturday would match the longest run of draws in the club’s history. Gladbach last drew four successive games between the 1996/97 and 97/98 seasons.
  • Borussia have two wins away from home this season, with the most recent being their 3-1 win at Wolfsburg on Matchday 28.
  • Robin Hack’s strike against Frankfurt was his tenth of the season, which equals his best tally from the 2019/20 season – though those goals were scored in the 2. Bundesliga for 1. FC Nürnberg. Hack is the highest-scoring German in the Bundesliga in 2024.
  • No Bundesliga team has scored more goals from corners than Gladbach this season. Eight of the Foals’ twelve goals from corners were assisted by Franck Honorat, making him the league’s most successful corner-kick taker this season.
  • Stuttgart have 39 points at home this season – their highest total ever – and a win on Saturday would take them to 42.

OFFICIALS

  • Daniel Schlager is the match referee for Saturday’s clash. Schlager is officiating his first Bundesliga match involving Borussia since the 4-4 draw against Augsburg on the opening day of the season.
  • Schlager will be assisted on the touchline by Dr Sven Waschitzki-Günther and Philipp Hüwe. Wolfgang Haslberger is the fourth official, while Robert Schröder and Holger Henschel are on VAR duty.
