Führich & Mittelstädt in EURO squad

Chris Führich earned his first international call-up last October and made his debut in the friendly against USA on 14 October. Further selections followed in November 2023 and March of this year. Führich has made three appearances in a Germany shirt to date, and more are set to follow this summer with the 26-year-old being included in the DFB’s squad for the home European Championship, where Germany meet Scotland (14 June), Hungary (19 June) and Switzerland (23 June) in the group stage. The match against Hungary will take place in familiar surroundings for Führich, as it’s being played in Stuttgart.

Maximilian Mittelstädt has been included in Germany’s squad for this summer’s European Championship, alongside fellow VfB star Chris Führich. Mittelstädt was called up to the senior side for the first time in March this year by head coach Julian Nagelsmann, and started the victories over France (2-0) and the Netherlands (2-1), even scoring an eye-catching goal in the latter. “We’re delighted for both players and wish them a successful time at the EURO,” said VfB head coach Sebastian Hoeneß.
