Willi Orban about…
… his return to the starting eleven at the Red Bull Arena
- “I missed that feeling. During rehab I always had in my mind to play in front of our fans again. Those were a couple of weeks in which I had to work hard. It made it all the better that we were successful at the weekend. It was an excellent day.”
… his absence due to injury
- “In the end it was almost 20 weeks, a little longer than expected. But these are moments that can happen. You always have a goal in mind that you’re working towards. I really wanted to be back with the team at the weekend being on the pitch.
During my recovery, I tried to influence the team from the outside and help. Now being back on the pitch is of course much more fun.”
Willi Orban about …
… his physical fitness
- “It was a good start with the home game against Union Berlin. Physically, my energy levels are good and I’m looking forward to the objectives ahead. Now it’s important to find the right balance in the busy double match week. Whether I can do two 90 minute matches in a week, it’s important to wait and see.”
… the objectives ahead
- “The goals are clear. We definitely want to be in the top four. Now, of course, there are two massive games waiting for us with Real Madrid. These are games that we have to enjoy. Of course we want to try to annoy the opponent and possibly advance to the next round. In the Bundesliga we are now in a bit of a hunter role, which has usually served us well in the past.”
