Bayern have had a good record with Orsato officiating a game vs PSG. The Rekordmeister have won the last two games that he oversaw: the 1-0 win in the second leg of the Quarterfinals in 2021 and the final in Lisbon 2020 where Coman became the first player to score against an old club in the final to hand Bayern their sixth Champions League win. Including games against other clubs, Bayern have won 4/5 of their recent games with Orsato (exemption being the 3-1 loss to Liverpool in 2019).
The nine days in Schruns are familiar territory for much of the team. This will be the 17th year in a row that SCF will prepare for the new season in this part of Austria. Christian Günter is of course a player who has completed many a session in Schruns, but it will be a slightly different experience for the captain this year. The 30-year-old did travel to Austria with the team after he underwent surgery on his broken arm on Saturday evening but rehabilitation training will be on the agenda for the stalwart.
On Saturday, 15 July, the U23s will leave for their training camp in Salt Lake City. The first of three games for coach Vincent Wagner’s team will follow on Tuesday (18 July). MLS NEXT Pro announced the complete schedule in a press release, which we’ve published excerpts of below:

“We said before the season that we wanted to compete for titles. We still have the chance to play for a title now and that’s the German Championship,” said the coach of the side in second spot. “The gap stands at two points, there are still six games remaining – of which four are taking place at home. At home in particular, we’ve produced some very successful football this season.” BVB have won 11 of their 13 matches in front of their own fans this term (one draw and one defeat) and sit atop the home table. Next up at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK: Eintracht Frankfurt.
