Four Werder players are away with their national teams during the current international break. WERDER.DE has taken a look at how Olivier Deman (Belgium), Romano Schmid (Austria), Nick Woltemade (Germany U21s) and Isak Hansen-Aorøen (Norway U21s) got on in their first games. 

Bayern Munich’s final Champions League match of the season was one of the squad’s more spirited efforts in the competition. However, it was too little too late, as Manchester City left Germany with a 4-1 win on aggregate after the teams fought to a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena.

The schedule for the rest of the season has now been finalised. On Wednesday, the German Football League (DFL) announced the exact timings for matchdays 31, 32 and 33. TSG Hoffenheim will play twice on Friday and once on Sunday. All games on the final matchday, when TSG Hoffenheim host Bayern Munich (18 May), will as always be held simultaneously on Saturday at 15:30 CET.

After their victory at Newcastle United, the Black & Yellows can build upon their good position in the return fixture against the English outfit on Tuesday 7 November (14:00 CET at the Youth Performance Centre). The race for top spot in the group and second place, which secure automatic qualification for the last 16 and a play-off place respectively, is likely to go down to the wire.
