VfL Wolfsburg have signed goalkeeper Marius Müller from second-division FC Schalke 04, making the 30-year-old the Wolves’ third new arrival for the 2024/25 season after keeper Kamil Grabara (FC Copenhagen) and midfielder Bence Dardai (Hertha BSC).
Right-back was never the most glamorous position, but the game’s many evolutions have seen it become a thrilling and unpredictable spot on the pitch. The best in the game will marry a strong positional awareness with blinding speed, as well as the daring to surge forward and support their teams in attack.

Twice before, I have written articles on potential striker options that Bayern Munich could look at. The first article came almost a year to the day from today, and the second was three months ago, again almost to the day. However, as this topic has become a topic of discussion once again, I have compiled another set of names that Bayern Munich would do well to investigate.
It was only a matter of centimetres away from being a dream debut – and yet Maximilian Beier could still be mightily proud of himself following his first international appearance. Julian Nagelsmann had brought him on for Jamal Musiala around an hour into the friendly against Ukraine. And the TSG player needed less than two minutes on his first appearance for the senior national team to make a lasting impression. His first touch of the ball was a powerful shot against the crossbar (61), then he was denied by Ukraine’s outstanding goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin two minutes later. The 21-year-old registered another attempt on the 79-minute mark – this time a header – but the ball flew wide of the mark.

FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin vs 1. FC Union Berlin:
It felt as though BVB had between 70% and 80% possession on the artificial turf in Halle/Westphalia, but they struggled to create clear chances against a deep-lying Bielefeld side. At the other end, the Black & Yellows allowed the opposition only a few chances. “We defended with great concentration,” said Marco Lehmann in praise of the defensive performance from his team. Arminia registered only one dangerous glimpse of goal in the first period, which saw them strike the crossbar in the aftermath of a corner-kick.
