Samassékou to join Cadiz on loan

“Diadié approached us with a desire to be able to play for Cadiz until the end of the season. We agreed to his request. Diadié undoubtedly has his qualities, which he is currently demonstrating at the Africa Cup of Nations. Nevertheless, he did not have the number of minutes he needs on the pitch with us in the first half of the season,” said Pirmin Schwegler, director of professional football at TSG. “We are confident that Diadié will get the minutes he wants there and that this loan will pay off for all parties involved.”

Bid for the team’s stadium jackets for a good cause

On 27 January 1945, the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp was liberated. German football has held a day of remembrance in honour of that event for 20 years around 27 January, commemorating the victims persecuted, deported and murdered by the National Socialists. “Never again!” – that is the appeal of the survivors of the concentration camps to subsequent generations. That appeal is all the more important in the present day, as incidents of anti-Semitism are on the rise again. As a football and sporting community, we are committed to resolutely tackling any form of anti-Semitism. Never again – two words that are as topical as ever before.

Quarshie joins Fortuna Düsseldorf on loan

“Joshua is a very talented central defender who still has a lot of potential and can bring us all a lot of joy at TSG in the future. That’s why we’ve decided to extend his contract long-term until 2027. In order to take the next step, he needs regular game time at the highest-possible level for his development, which we can’t guarantee him at the moment,” said Pirmin Schwegler, Head of Professional Football at TSG, who continued: “For this reason, we’ve decided to loan him to Fortuna Düsseldorf until 2025. There he will have the chance to get important minutes for a good team in the 2. Bundesliga. I’m convinced this decision will pay off for Joshua, Fortuna and for us.”
