Man Utd are now leading the race to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer this summer, according to reports.

The France international is set to leave Turin after four seasons at Juventus, in which he won the Serie A, Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup once each.

Rabiot has had a good goalscoring season for the Serie A side with 11 goals in 47 matches from midfield and he is attracting interest from a number of clubs.

But now Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport insist that Man Utd are currently back in the race to sign Rabiot and ‘ahead at the moment’ with his former club Paris Saint-Germain also keen.

Chelsea’s Mason Mount is also on Erik ten Hag’s list as they attempt to improve midfield this summer but a deal for Rabiot would have ‘fewer complications’ as he is available for nothing.

Man Utd are currently negotiating over a fee for Mount with Chelsea wanting as much as £30m more than .

Centre-back is another area Man Utd will look to improve on this summer with both Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof linked with moves away from Old Trafford.

Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae seems to be their top target for that position and now Italian publication Calciomercato claim that the Scudetto winner is ‘ready to say yes’ to a move to Man Utd.

that Kim will end up at Man Utd this summer and the report adds that the Premier League outfit have had a ‘couple of summits’ with the South Korean’s agent.

The deal on the table from Man Utd is ‘worth €7m net per year’ with Kim now leaning ‘increasingly towards’ a move to England with the Red Devils prepared to pay his €50-60m.

In order to say ‘farewell’ to Naples, Man Utd will have to trigger Kim’s release clause between July 1 and July 15 or risk paying more later in the summer.

Man Utd boss Ten Hag has overseen a positive first season at Old Trafford but they couldn’t add the FA Cup to their Carabao Cup triumph earlier in the season.

The Red Devils lost 2-1 to rivals Man City on Saturday with Pep Guardiola’s side still on for a Treble and Ten Hag hopes his side use it as motivation to succeed.

“You have to feel it in your stomach. This hurts and it has to be fuel.

“We want to be there and our team, my players, deserved it, but you have to grab it and that is the next step we have to make.”
