Jurgen Klopp is not sure if Liverpool will win their final two games of the season but knows his players must react if Manchester United or Newcastle United drop points.

The Reds were comfortable victors at the King Power on Monday night as , who have only picked up all three points in one of their last 14 in the Premier League and are now facing relegation to the Championship.

Klopp was high in praise of Curtis Jones – who bagged a brace – and has urged his team to capitalise on any dropped points from Newcastle and/or the Red Devils.

“Sensational first goal,” he told Sky Sports. “Top second goal. We should have scored immediately after.

“Third goal, what a wonderful routine. Love it. Good win, super important for us.

“We have two difficult games to come. Villa are fighting for Europe. Tonight I’m really happy.

“That’s the best free-kick routine we have. We should have scored three like that. Now we can take it direct or roll it both sides so it makes it more likely we score from these situations. We have to use it more often.

“We changed so many things. Now we just have to play a different rhythm.”

On their Champions League rivals, Klopp added: “I think they’d have preferred we lose tonight. I would in their shoes. I don’t think it’s likely but if they slip, we have to be there. Will they slip? I don’t know. Will we win both games? I don’t know.

“West Ham will be happy. Now David Moyes can prepare the European semi-final.”

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has warned his former club and Newcastle that “Klopp is coming”.

“Newcastle and Manchester United still have a job to do – Jurgen Klopp is coming for you,” Neville said.

“Liverpool will win their two games so Newcastle and Manchester United have to forget the idea that Liverpool will drop points.

And ex-Liverpool centre-back Carragher believes Klopp’s side are well and truly in the hunt.

“Liverpool are still with an outside chance of the top four,” he said.

“The system they are playing isn’t all about Trent [Alexander-Arnold] going into the midfield, but Curtis Jones has been one of those players where this system is really helping him and we’re seeing the best of him.

“These last six games you think there is someone that can be more than just a squad player, but he has to have more consistency.

“He’s a goal threat and has something a little bit different.”
