Borussia Dortmund’s U17 junior girls have won the first title of the season. The team ran out 2-0 (1-0) victors against SV Berghofen in the final of the Kreispokal on Saturday morning.
In the clash against the team currently in sixth place in Bezirksliga Pool 2, coach Marc Liesler’s team secured not only the first title of the campaign but also the first junior girls title in BVB’s history in what is their debut season. The Kreispokal final took place at Arminia Marten’s sports complex.
Eleonora Limkou and Sarah Duranville scored for BVB.
The Black & Yellow youngsters had reached the final by beating Wambeler SV (5-3), TuS Eichlinghofen (9-0) and SV Westfalia Huckarde (10-0).
BVB’s next league game is against Mengede 08/20 at 12:00 CET on 2 December.
