On Monday evening, Karim Adeyemi fielded questions from journalists and spoke about the USA Tour, the fans and the friendlies.

Karim Adeyemi on the USA Tour:
“It’s very intense on the pitch. The first game was not as good as the second one. The training sessions and the conditions are very good. It’s very nice off the pitch. I’m in the USA for the first time. I’m look forward to the games and being with the boys.”

…the friendly against Manchester United:
“It was a tough test. The conditions and the stadium were very good. The game was very demanding. We struggled to get into it, Manchester United performed very well. But at the end we showed that we’re clinical in front of goal and were well in the match. We gave everything and won the game. We still need to improve small details, we’ll show that in the next game.”

…his objectives:
“I haven’t yet set myself any objectives. I’m trying to continue on from last season. It was a solid performance against Manchester United, I want to improve against Chelsea. I simply want to put my foot on the gas and achieve the team objectives this season.”

…the new captain:
“We’re happy that Emre feels ready. We trust him 100%. He’s a leader and will definitely help us.”

…the fans in the USA:
“It’s unbelievable when you see that the club is internationally known. In the USA, the people are not so into football but rather into other types of sport. But it makes you happy to see BVB fans here supporting us too.” (cr)
