Ole Werner: “We ultimately deserved to share the points. Both of us had moments where we were the stronger side. Although we had an even number of chances to Gladbach, our quality wasn’t where it needed to be in both Leonardo Bittencourt and Romano Schmid’s big chances. I’m satisfied with the team’s performance, we played well away from home. We’re just slightly lacking the same level of consistency and intensity in away games that we have when we play in Bremen. That’s why we’re only taking home one point today, but we shouldn’t apologise for that. Although, we would’ve liked to have come away with two more.

Marvin Ducksch: “When you score the equaliser in a game like that, you’ll happily take away the point. But maybe there could’ve been three in it for us today. Everyone works hard for each other and no one’s afraid to go the extra mile. Justin showed his pace today prior to the goal, as well as his desire, ability to anticipate play, and his composure on the ball. I would be really happy if we’re able to perform well and hold onto a lead until the final whistle in the new year.”
Mitchell Weiser: “We could’ve come away from the game with more. We were in control, but then let it slip away from us at times. If we want to pick up points away from home, we have to be able to control the game for the full 90 minutes, not just for 60 or 70. That’s what went wrong today. However, we came back from behind and took away a point.”
Michael Zetterer: “If you look at the first 20 minutes, it’s disappointing that weren’t able to score a second. We should be happy that they didn’t make it 3-1 after half time. More could’ve been possible for us from the way the game went, but it was ultimately a deserved and fair result. We can live with just one point from an away game today, and there have been other occasions where we could have brought home all three. We don’t need to be upset with the fact that we drew 2-2 with Gladbach.”
Leonardo Bittencourt: “We started the game really well thanks to the opener and had two big chances through Ducksch and myself, which would’ve made it 3-0 if it were a perfect thirty minutes. But we left the door open for them and conceded a scrappy equaliser, and didn’t make a good start to the second half. In the end, we drew 2-2, which was a deserved result, even if there was more in it for us.”
Milos Veljkovic: “As a whole, we’re a bit frustrated, but that’s just how it is in football when you don’t make the most of your chances and then go on to concede. At the end of the day, it was a fair result. Gladbach maybe just kept their focus more than us. We play our game no matter what, and if we can cut out these 20-30 minute phases where we drop off, then we’ll be capable of winning more points.”
