Head coach Ole Werner: “My summary is generally very positive. When a team gets put together in circumstances like these, you never really know what you’re going to get. We had a lot of lads from the U23s here, and they did they part very well indeed. It was all about keeping the team working well throughout the task, and the lads did that with good communication on the pitch. That communication meant we played a generally pretty good game.”
Club captain Marco Friedl: “We needed a little bit of something at the start. Gladbach had more of the game, and we were slightly on the back foot. After around ten minutes we got right into the game, and it became an even match. The longer the game went on, the better we got, and we had the better chances at the end too. As a result of that, we deservedly got the goal and won the game.”
