The Borussia Dortmund first team kicked off the penultimate training week of the season on Tuesday afternoon. Following the 5-2 home win over Mönchengladbach, coach Edin Terzic gathered his players for a public training session in front of around 800 spectators at the Youth Stadium in Brackel.

There’s a long week of training ahead before challenge 33 of 34 sees BVB travel away to FC Augsburg on Sunday (kick-off at 17:30 CET) in what is a highly exciting Bundesliga title race. After a day off on Monday, the Black & Yellows took to the pitch for a session lasting almost 60 minutes on Tuesday. Following the obligatory warm-up programme and several passing drills, the team moved onto a game scenario on a square pitch with several mini goals.

Sebastien Haller, Nico Schlotterbeck and Jude Bellingham were missing from the nonetheless large training group due to individual workload management. However, Bellingham came out onto the pitch to great cheers shortly before the end of the session and joined his team-mates in fulfilling a copious number of photo and autograph requests from Black & Yellow fans big and small.

Borussia have four more sessions pencilled in throughout the course of the week. After the final training session on Saturday afternoon, Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi & Co. will depart for Augsburg hoping to pick up the first three of the six points still up for grabs in their final away match of the season the following day.
