• His full name is Xavier Quentin Shay Simons.
   
• At the age of three, Xavi and his family moved from the Netherlands to Spain.

Family man with a big social media following

• Xavi’s brother, Faustino, is one of his closest friends. After leaving home for the first time, the brothers lived together in Eindhoven. The 20-year-old is also extremely close with his cousin, Tyrese Simons.
   
• He is one of the most-followed young footballers in the world, with nearly five million followers on Instagram (@xavisimons) and 1.1 million followers on TikTok. 

Barcelona, Paris, Eindhoven 

• Xavi’s career as a footballer began in Spain in 2010, when he joined the esteemed La Masia academy at FC Barcelona. After nine years, the Dutchman moved to Paris St-Germain in 2019 before heading to Eindhoven in 2022.
   
• His biggest idols are his namesake and current Barcelona coach, Xavi, as well as Andrés Iniesta and Luka Modric.

• The Netherlands international will wear the number 20 shirt for RBL, which will feature his first name ‘Xavi‘ on it.
