The German women’s handball team including the BVB trio of Alina Grijseels, Lisa Antl and Meret Ossenkopp have qualified for the World Cup in December. They claimed a 36-20 away win over Greece in the second leg of the play-offs.

Captain Grijseels only managed to score one goal on her 27th birthday (a seven-metre throw) but made a strong impression by notching 10 assists. Right-winger Ossenkopp, who made her debut for the DHB team in the first leg on Sunday, did not manage to find the net during her 15 minutes on the court, but Antl did score a goal.

The three Germany internationals will be back in Bundesliga action on Saturday. BSV Sachsen Zwickau will be the visitors to Sporthalle Wellinghofen at 19:00 CET. Tickets can be purchased via the Online Shop.
