The Wolves play what is arguably the toughest fixture in the Bundesliga calendar relatively early on this season. At 17:30 CEST on Sunday 14 August, head coach Niko Kovac’s side travel to Bayern Munich on Matchday 2 of the 2022/23 top-flight campaign. The Bavarians’ well-oiled attacking machine has been running on overdrive since the departure of the prolific Robert Lewandowski, with Julian Nagelsmann’s team scoring 11 goals in their opening two competitive games of the season.

Matthäi becomes new main and shirt sponsor of SV Werder
Building contractor Matthäi will become the new main and shirt sponsor of SV Werder Bremen, as of the 2023/24 season. The new agreement is a further deepening of ties between the two parties, with Matthäi having previously been one of the club’s TOP partners. The new sponsorship agreement will run until 2025/26.

The 2021/22 season is just over, but VfL Bochum 1848 are already looking forward when the first team will pick up the regular training sessions again on 20th June, 11:00 CET. The session is going to be open to the public.

After earning a well-fought point in Mönchengladbach, Daniel Caligiuri is hoping for another positive result this Saturday (24/8) against FC Bayern. The 31-year-old spoke with schalke04.de about a good start to the season, his more attacking role in David Wagner’s system, the upcoming game with the record champions and being named ‘Player of the Season’.

If you can say that after playing a team like Dortmund then it says a lot about the way we played. Obviously we’re disappointed because we really wanted to win. But now we have to look forward right away to the game against Sporting on Tuesday.”
Fredrik Bjørkan leaves Berlin to return to Norway
Fredrik Bjørkan will leave Hertha BSC and join FK Bodø/Glimt. The 24-year-old had been on loan at Feyenoord since the start of this season, but will now return to his hometown club. “We are pleased to have found a suitable solution for all sides with this transfer. We would like to thank Fredrik for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future,” said sporting director Fredi Bobic on Wednesday.
