Union agree partnership with Comedy Central

“Comedy Central and 1. FC Union Berlin are two partners that are just a perfect match: We are both a bit different from the established in our field, are authentic, humorous and maintain a particularly close relationship with our fans. We are delighted to accompany the club through the season as a new partner – on the one hand, highly visible as a sleeve and perimeter sponsor, and on the other hand, with jointly produced content that will make fans and spectators laugh,” said Peter Forner, Brand Director GSA at Comedy Central.

SV Werder Bremen

Comeback comes too late for Werder

SV Werder Bremen lost 4-2 away to SV Darmstadt 98 as they were unable to complete a four-goal comeback. The hosts shocked the Green-Whites early on as Matthias Bader scored the opener (5’), as SVW found it hard to grow into the game. There was even a second for Darmstadt before the break through Tim Skarke (25’). After the break, the home side continued to apply the pressure and Marvin Mehlem scored a third (50’) before Kempe added a fourth from the penalty spot (62’). SVW woke up too late: Olivier Deman scored his first Bundesliga goal to get the visitors somewhat back in the game (70’), before Milos Veljkovic scored Werder’s second in the 79th minute.

FC Augsburg

Maaßen: “Full focus on the game”

“We want to show from the outset that we want to win the game and get the crowd on our side,” said Maaßen. FCA were put to the sword by RB Leipzig in their last game (3-0), with all three of RBL’s goals coming in the first half. Mainz are also winless this season and fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of VfB Stuttgart last weekend. Bo Svensson’s side find themselves bottom of the table with one point from four games.

Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman feels PSG will still be a force to be reckoned with

It was PSG product Kingsley Coman who scored the lone goal in the first leg at the Parc des Princes and chose not to celebrate against his former club out of respect. After the second leg victory, the French winger tried to put his finger on what, exactly, has been going wrong for the Ligue 1 giants in European competition. After all, the Qatari takeover of the club had success in Europe as it’s main, driving goal, but they’ve still failed to win a European title since the takeover occurred.

SC Freiburg

34,000 SC fans set to attend home game against West Ham

Due to a UEFA ban, the visitors from London are not allowed to bring any fans to the game, meaning the game will be played in front of 34,200 SC supporters. “It’s a shame that no English fans will be there, but it’s ultimately better for us,” said Vincenzo Grifo at the pre-match press conference on Wednesday alongside Christian Streich.
