SV Werder Bremen

“If you aim high, the little things take care of themselves.”

A very special year has come to an end for Marvin Ducksch. In 2023, SVW’s striker was the highest-scoring German footballer and earned himself a cap for the national team. “It was a very special year for me. I achieved a lot of the goals that I set for myself,” said the 29-year-old. Whether it’s on the pitch or playing board games with his family, only one thing matters to Ducksch – “I always win!”

Kramarić and the 17th strike

235 appearances, 105 goals, 48 assists – Andrej Kramarić’s numbers in the Bundesliga speak for themselves. VfL Bochum was the only blot on his statistical copybook, with the 32-year-old having previously failed to find the net the four times he has faced them. But Kramarić scored a goal against VfL in Friday evening’s 3-1 victory. The goal means that the Croat has now scored against the current Bundesliga clubs that he has played against.

Union Host Hansa

The second-division team from the northern port have had a somewhat varied season so far. They started off with a defeat against FC Heidenheim and thus 15th place in the table, but in the following weeks were able to work their way up to sixth. Their only consistent has been their inconsistency, one could say.  They’d not gone more than two games without defeat so far this year until  a 1-1 draw with Nuremberg was followed by a creditable 1-0 win at home to Eintracht Braunschweig, taking them up to rest in ninth over the winter.

Former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann linked to Chelsea FC job

As reported by Sky Sport “Deutschalnd” journo Florian Plettenberg and captured by @iMiaSanMia, the 35-year-old ex-Hoffenheim and Leipzig coach is being courted by the London Blues. However, the Chelsea board will not make a move immediately as they are still trying to back current coach Graham Potter, who took the title of world’s most expensive manager from Nagelsmann. Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur (whom Antonio Conte recently parted ways with) are also in the running for Nagelsmann’s signature.

TSG Hoffenheim

Invited by TSG: 2003 cup heroes are guests at the PreZero Arena

TSG had invited the team to the match against VfL Bochum. There was great sense of joy at the reunion, where many of the players had not seen each other for a long time. 13 players from the squad were able to make the event. Throughout the evening, the former TSG footballers told exciting anecdotes from their playing days and took delight in the current generation’s 3-1 victory over VfL Bochum.
