Reitz is Borussia’s Player of the Month for September
Academy product Rocco Reitz has been voted as Borussia’s Player of the Month for September, presented by Cichon Personalmanagement. The midfielder beat off competition from Moritz Nicolas, Florian Neuhaus and Alassane Plea.
Rocco Reitz received 65% of the fans’ votes on the FohlenApp to convincingly win this month’s award. Moritz Nicolas came second (21%), with Alassane Plea (8%) and Florian Neuhaus (6%) third and fourth respectively.
Reitz has played in all six league games this season, and has started each of the last four. He made his first start in the first game of September against Bayern (2-1 defeat) and has since been a permanent member in the side. His excellent run set up the first goal in the team’s comeback from 3-0 down in Darmstadt (3-3) and he impressed with committed performances against RB Leipzig (1-0 defeat) and VfL Bochum (3-1 win). The 21-year-old, who loves a tackle, has covered an average of 12.04 kilometres per game this season.
