Everything you need to know ahead of the Foals’ Bundesliga home game against SV Darmstadt on Saturday (15:30 CET).

HEAD-TO-HEAD

There have been nine Bundesliga meetings so far, of which Borussia have won four and three have ended in draws. Darmstadt’s only victory came in the first ever encounter in 1978/79, when they won 2-0.
The last three Bundesliga games between the sides have ended in draws.
The previous fixture was certainly memorable. Darmstadt were 2-0 up after just ten minutes and led 3-0 at the break. After a 49th-minute red card for Matej Maglica, Borussia fought back to draw 3-3.

Interestingly, the Foals are yet to record two wins or two draws in a row so far this Bundesliga season, and only suffered successive defeats on Matchdays 2 and 3 against Leverkusen and Bayern.
The recent 2-1 home defeat to FC Augsburg ended an impressive run from the Foals. They had previously gone eight competitive home games in a row unbeaten (six wins, two draws).
Borussia have scored nine times from corners, which is the most in the division. Darmstadt meanwhile have netted three times from free kicks, with only Leipzig having done so more often.
The Foals have also scored eight times from headers, putting them behind only FC Bayern in that regard.
Gladbach have gone three games without a league victory, while Darmstadt are winless in 13 Bundesliga matches (four draws, nine defeats). This is the Lilies’ longest-ever such run.
