Match facts ahead of #BMGSGE
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the Foals’ home game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, 11th May (15:30 CEST).
Head-to-head
- This weekend’s game will be the side’s 100th meeting in the Bundesliga. Frankfurt have come out on top in 37 of the 99 fixtures, while the Foals have picked up all three points on 33 occasions, leaving the remaining 29 results as draws.
- Over the 99 league games, both BMG and SGE have found the back of the net a total of 302 times, which is divided very evenly between the two teams. Borussia have fired home 150 goals, whereas Saturday’s visitors have bagged 152, resulting in an average of 3.05 goals scored per game.
- SV Werder Bremen are the only team that Frankfurt have beaten in the league more times (38) than they have won against Gladbach (37).
- In the first round of matches, the side from Hessen turned the game around in the dying minutes by netting two goals during added time, allowing them to secure a 2-1 win over the Foals.
Statistics
- Gladbach have won one of their last nine Bundesliga games (3-1 at Wolfsburg on Matchday 28), while Frankfurt have claimed all three points in one of their last seven (3-1 against Augsburg on Matchday 30).
- The Foals’ 12 goals so far from corners is the most in the division. Conversely, Eintracht are the only side yet to score from one (out of 145 corners taken).
