Foals begin preparations for game in Bremen
On Wednesday morning, the Foals began their preparations for the upcoming away game at SV Werder Bremen (Saturday 4th May, 15:30 CEST) with a public training session.
Warm sunshine and the bank holiday both contributed to a high attendance at the training session ahead of the away game at SV Werder Bremen (Saturday 4th May, 15:30 CEST). The spectators saw a 90-minute session, in which Franck Honorat, Manu Koné and Jordan all took part fully after their step-by-step reintegration last week. Jonas Omlin was also back in full training. “Jonas did some individual sessions at the end of last week and is now able to train with the team again. Now we need to wait and see how he copes with the workload over the next two days,” said head coach Gerardo Seoane.
Florian Neuhaus was meanwhile unable to train with the team, and completed an individual programme due to muscle problems. Christoph Kramer also remained unable to train alongside his teammates after illness. Tony Jantschke (adductor issues), Max Wöber (minor thigh strain), Grant-Leon Ranos (ankle injury) and Simon Walde (high ankle sprain) were also still missing. Young forward Shio Fukuda is currently unable to take part as well, as he has picked up an ankle problem.
There are two further sessions planned for before the game at Werder Bremen, both of which will take place behind closed doors. The Foals will firstly train at 11:00 CEST on Thursday, before completing the final session at 12:00 CEST on Friday.
