EURO qualifiers: Čvančara starts in Czechia’s win over the Faroe Islands
Czechia moved back into second in Group E of the EURO qualifiers thanks to a 1-0 victory against the Faroe Islands, in which Tomáš Čvančara played 57 minutes.

They beat the Faroe Islands 1-0 on matchday 6 of the EURO qualifiers and regained second place in the Group E standings. Čvančara made his fifth appearance for his country, starting the match but being brought off after 57 minutes. After hitting the post twice before half time, Tomas Soucek converted his penalty with 15 minutes to go, which turned out to be the only goal of the game. With two matchdays remaining, Czechia (11 points) are ahead of Poland (10 points) in the table, despite having played a match less. The two sides will meet in mid-November.
