Chiarodia wins U19 EUROs with Italy U19s
Borussia’s new signing Fabio Chiarodia celebrated winning the U19 European Championship with the Italy U19s on the weekend. Michael Kayode scored the winning goal in the final against Portugal U19s (1-0).
Chiarodia (Photo: imago images/nordphoto) was an unused substitute for the final, having also been on the bench for the 3-2 semi-final win over Spain U19s. The centre-back started the final group stage match against Poland U19s (1-1), with Italy having lost 5-1 to Portugal in their previous group stage fixture. Chiarodia was suspended for the opening group stage match against Malta U19s (4-0 win).
