Robert Gumny tears his ACL
Injured in training
Robert Gumny unfortunately suffered a serious injury in training on Tuesday. Scans showed that he has torn the ACL in his right knee. The 25-year-old full-back underwent a successful operation on Wednesday and will now take several months to recover.
“We had initially hoped that Robert’s injury in training wasn’t a bad one, but unfortunately scans have confirmed it is. Robert is an important part of our team. We wish him all the best for his recovery. He will receive the best possible support from us so that he can recover quickly from this setback and then come back stronger,” commented FCA sporting director Marinko Jurendic.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Robert!
