Jozo Stanić joins FC St. Gallen
Permanent move to Switzerland
FCA academy product Jozo Stanić has completed a permanent move to FC St. Gallen. The details of the transfer will remain undisclosed.
“FCA are my hometown club – I’ve spent nearly 11 years here and made my professional debut here. However, I now want to take the next step in my career. That’s why I’m looking forward to a new challenge at FC St. Gallen,” said Stanić. “I would like to say thank you to all the fans and the club for my time at FCA.”
“Jozo is an Augburg native who became a professional footballer with us. After going out on loan in recent years, he now has the opportunity to feature regularly for a first-division side. We wish him all the best for a successful future,” said Stefan Reuter, managing director for sport at FCA.
Stanić joined the FCA academy as a child and moved up through the ranks of Augsburg’s youth set-up. He featured once for the club in the Bundesliga. Most recently, Stanić spent a season on loan at each of FSV Zwickau, SV Wehen Wiesbaden and NK Varazdin in Croatia. He has featured four times for the Croatia U19s.
