While most of the squad have gone on their well-earned holidays, there are seven players who are off to represent their national teams this summer.
Captain Christopher Trimmel and new signing Tymoteusz Puchacz will represent Austria and Poland at the re-arranged 2020 UEFA European Championships. Paul Jaeckel, who has signed from Greuther Fürth, will represent Germany at U21 level. Julian Ryerson is off to join up with the Norway squad ahead of friendlies against Luxembourg and Greece. Sheraldo Becker has committed to the Suriname national team and he will go to contest the Gold Cup in the United States, as well as, playing in World Cup qualifiers. Keita Endo and Genki Haraguchi will head off to Japan, with Endo potentially earning a call-up for the Olympic Football Tournament.
Meanwhile, Joel Pohjanpalo, Petar Musa and Nico Schlotterbeck, who all said their goodbyes after the last home match against RB Leipzig, will represent their national teams.
