The Bundesliga team of 1. FC Union Berlin has successfully completed its training camp in Oberlängenfeld, Austria, sponsored by sonnenschutz.de. After seven intensive sessions on the pitch and a test match, the Köpenickers bid farewell to the picturesque Ötztal valley.

After yesterday’s victory and a final breakfast together, the majority of the Union delegation made their way to Innsbruck Airport at 10 o’clock. Some of the professionals, coaches and team members travelled home on their own. The journey to the Tyrolean capital, which took just under an hour, was all about relaxation: reading, listening to music and sleeping. The days at the training camp had left their mark and the anticipation of returning home grew noticeably. ‘Union-Flieger’ then took the team safely to Berlin, where they arrived safely at the An der Alten Försterei stadium shortly before 15 o’clock.

Quote of the day: ‘Even though it was really nice, I’m just looking forward to going home now’ – An employee of 1. FC Union Berlin after a successful landing.

The professionals of the men’s team can use the next four days to enjoy a little free time. On Wednesday, 24.07.2024 at 10:30, all players will train again in a public training session on the home pitch The following Saturday, 27.07.2024 at 17 o’clock, Scottish record champions Glasgow Rangers will be the guests in Berlin-Köpenick, where tickets are still available.
